Everyone knows me as Diva Danielle and for the past 20 years I have been working as a broadcast journalist. I love what I do. Telling a good story, connecting with people, and creating unique pathways for self-expression has been a natural fit for me throughout my life.
Working in radio and television hosting and reporting lifestyle and entertainment news I understand what it takes to tell a compelling story and take the audience along for the ride.
Over the years my life has changed and in 2018 my broadcast journalism career came to an end when I was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer, and I have never smoked a day in my life.
I was at my healthiest, working out six days a week, eating healthy foods until the unthinkable happened. I was 94 pounds at the time of my lung cancer diagnosis. My cancer spread to my lower spine, pelvis, and the top of my right shoulder.
I concentrated on healing and focused on the mantra “Mind over Matter” and The Power of Positivity. I shared my entire cancer journey on social media via Facebook live videos, selfie post and Instagram updates. I used the hashtag #divastrong from the beginning till now.
My lung cancer journey started a conversation which gained me local and national exposure. It opened the door to wonderful opportunities for me to fuel my passion of telling compelling stories, working with amazing people and continue my broadcast journalism career in an entire new way.
I became my own boss, stepping into the entrepreneur sector. I created my own talk show called Community Link AZ a platform to shine a spotlight on local nonprofit organizations, entrepreneurs and small businesses who are making a positive impact in the lives of others in our community. I recently won Best TV Personality in AZ Centrals BEST OF THE DESERT 2021 contest, which was one of the motivating factors to me starting my own business, Diva Strong Media LLC.
Nothing is impossible, there is always a way to create something new and become better than you were before.
Let’s connect, let’s create and let’s make new, positive things happen for your business through media.
